Murphy Jewelers was founded in 1913 when Frank J. Murphy opened a store in downtown Pottsville and traveled door-to-door in horse and buggy repairing school house clocks. Today, over ninety years later, two stores serve customers in downtown Pottsville and Hamburg Pennsylvania. Murphy Jewelers remains a family owned business, with Patrick and Kim Murphy leading the organization to become one of the finest independent jewelry companies in the state of Pennsylvania.
